Crispy cakes are easy to make using cereals such as cornflakes – enjoy the results with a cup of tea and a chat!
What you’ll need:
- Chocolate bars (one per person) makes approx. 3-4 crispy cakes
- Cupcake cases
- Spoons
- Bowls for melting chocolate
- Larger bowl for warm water
- Warm water
- Decorations (marshmallows, sprinkles, chocolate buttons)
Instructions
- Start with breaking the chocolate into small chunks
- Place the small chunks into a smaller bowl
- Put some boiled water (leave the water cool for a few minutes for the safety of the individual) then place the smaller bowl into the water
- Stir the chocolate until it is all mixed and there are no chocolate lumps
- Take the chocolate away from the warm water
- Add roughly 2 large handfuls of cereal.
- Mix the cereal until evenly coated in chocolate without a lot of remaining chocolate in the bowl
- Add the mixture into the cup cake cases
- Decorate with any sweets or sprinkles
- Put in the fridge, or to one side if no fridge is available for the cakes to harden
